We are thrilled to announce the expansion of our board to meet the growing needs of our club! Current and past members of the Belleville Ravens Volleyball Club who have been with us for at least one season are invited to apply for board positions. Past members must have left in good standing. Membership includes coaches, athletes, or parents of athletes from our OVA teams.
Candidates must be 18 years or older and possess a clear CPIC. Submissions will undergo review by our Nominating Committee.
In cases where multiple qualified candidates are identified, a membership vote will determine appointments. Please submit applications by Friday, July 12, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. If positions remain unfilled, deadlines will be extended until suitable candidates are found.
The Nominating Committee may request additional information from applicants as needed. We look forward to welcoming new members to our board!

President (Chair)
- Oversees club & ensures alignment with guiding documents (Bylaws)
- Conflict resolution
- Goal setting/club direction
- Guidance for coaches & executive members
- With Parent Rep, hosts a monthly meeting with Managers to check in on team needs/moral
- Hosts AGM
- Hosts meeting for Coaches prior to season, at Christmas break and before Provincials
Vice President (Vice Chair)
- Intent to take over a President in next election
- Is OVA point of contact, including tournament registration
- Looks after MRS requirements
- Coordinates concussion protocol
Director of Finance
- Collects, organizes, maintains and reports all financial information
- Responsible for TeamSnap (creating registration forms, ensuring payments are made, roster players once teams are formed)
Technical Director
- First point of contact for technical coach support
- Help coordinate guest coaches, provide resources, tips/tricks and acts as a sounding board for player/coach conflict
- Is first layer of interception in behavioural/discipline matters (players and coaches)
Director of Parent Representation
- Supports the tournament/events coordinator
- Provides input on complaints as needed.
Is the first point of contact for parent concerns/feedback - With President, hosts a monthly meeting with Managers to check in on team needs/moral
Director of Marketing & Communication
- Looks after all social media & club-wide communications
- Creates & posts graphics to social media to promote upcoming tournaments, results & highlights
- Works with coaches & team managers to ensure all teams are covered and no one team is favoured
- Updates & maintains club website
- Works with Tournament/Events Coordinator to promote club activities
Equipment Coordinator
- Orders & maintains equipment including (but not limited to) volleyballs, nets, first aid kits, jerseys, clothing & awards
- Works with coaches and managers to ensure equipment is well maintained
- Coordinates off-season storage & care
Fundraising & Sponsorship Coordinator
- Tracks all sponsorship information including names, donations for all teams
- Coordinate thank you gifts for sponsors
- Reports to director of Finance
Works with Marketing & Communications to thank sponsors online
Tournament & Events Coordinator (Secretary)
- Responsible for coordinating all aspects of home tournaments & supports coaches & managers for road logistics
- Coordinators club-wide events (camps, skill development sessions etc)
Facilities & Schedule Coordinator
- Is responsible for all gym bookings & coordinating rescheduled times & facilitating respectful, positive relationships with the board office and the individual custodial crews
